Orgment hosts Local Government Reform seminar

On Friday 29th November Orgment Consulting will be hosting a seminar for key representatives from the all the metropolitan local governments affected by the proposed Local Government Reform.
The proposed reduction in the number of local governments poses many challenges not only in the movement of boundaries but also the various mergers and divisions of local government entities, the business processes, work practices and systems, the supporting technology platforms and all the people impacted by these changes. In this instance the “people” element encompasses changes to not only staff but also to ratepayers and the many community groups.
Orgment Consulting will be sharing its approach and experience in managing community engagement and business change in the amalgamation and mergers of large government and commercial enterprise organisations. We will be discussing what change management actually is, the key principles required to successfully manage change and how to identify and successfully combat the potential risks and issues that often arise when major changes occur.
It is our aim to provide local government the support and information required to assist them to successfully lead their teams and communities through the period of transition and change that they have ahead of them.

Recognising this need and taking into consideration our values of integrity, professionalism, precision, creativity and agility, has driven us to redesigning our online presence to improve your experience when interacting with us. This will also enable us to reach out and share more of what we have to offer with you.
We believe that our interactions with you, our clients and colleagues, will constantly change so we want to provide you with a new online presence which not only enables us to demonstrate WHO we are but also WHAT we do, HOW we do it and WHAT we are planning for the future.
As we have grown, so too has our desire to ensure that all we do has a lasting and positive impact for both our clients and the wider community in which we live and work. This has prompted us to add more features to our website and encouraged us to share more of our knowledge with you.
Orgment’s website now has the capability for users to subscribe to our news blog where we will be posting articles and other interesting information on a regular basis. This includes the work we do, topics for discussion as well as insights to how we are living our values and giving back to the community.
As part of our knowledge sharing initiative, we are developing our own change management toolkit and will look to publish white papers in the future, drawing on our extensive change management experience in delivering sustainable value adding business solutions.
